  1. What is truly sad is that Big Concert are mum about it all. You can not blame other people, this is event planning 101.... Speak now or for ever hold you trap shut!!

  2. @RC GUY... UNFORTUNATELY CAPE TOWN ISN'T LIKE JO'BURG WHERE THE ONLY PLACE YOU COULD EVER HOST A GROUP AS REPUTABLE AS THE KILLERS IS AT THE DOME. WE HAVE VARIETY, SURE IT WAS A F*CK UP WITH REGARDS TO TRAFFIC, BUT WE HAVE THE OPTION OF VENUES. THE ONLY REASON WE DIDN'T HAVE TO HAVE 2 SHOWS WAS BECAUSE THERE WAS PROBABLY MORE PEOPLE WATCHING IN CAPE TOWN IN 1 NIGHT THAN THERE WAS COMBINED AT BOTH JO'BURG SHOWS...NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENED LOGISTICALLY, YOU CANNOT AND WILL NOT BEAT AN OUTDOOR CONCERT WITH 38000 PEOPLE ALL SINGING "THERE'S NO MOTIVE FOR THIS CRIME, JENNY WAS A FRIEND OF MINE" .......SO COME ON!

  4. Typical Cape Town. You guys are soooo fast a sleep, you don't know how to properly organise anything. Parking and everything was great at the Coca Cola Dome...I will remember that night for a very long time.

  5. The Killers were AMAZING! Unbelievable. So great to see such quality. LOVED IT!!! If a little more thought went into the parking, alternate arrangements could have been made - Big Concerts how about you offer several parking area's with shuttles to the venue? One small farm road? Surely you should have realised before hand? Obviously not... I wonder how many people bunked work - 4 hours to get out, I would have!

  6. Big Concerts need to be brought to book for the traffic shamles. Post your experience on the following link: http://www.hellopeter.com/make_report.php This should make someone jump.

  7. One more thing... I wish South Africans would get into the culture of making banners for concerts so the bands know that we're loving them!

  8. The Killers rocked! We need more of this quality of bands coming to town. I can't wait for their next time over! Wish there was better MC-ing before the actual show as there was a looong gap of silence (I went on 3rd). Come-on 94.7!

  9. Jo'burg rocks, no problem, Cape Town, build a proper venue so next time you don't have to walk 10km's. Killers for president!!!!!!!!

  10. Big Concerts are still in business because of the support all of those complaining here continue to provide them by going to the concerts they host.

  11. Big Concerts your event organiser for traffic needs to be fired. 3 hours in and 4 hours out. Dreadful. The bar was a cockup, understaffed and slow. I feel desperate for those poor girls in sandles walking 10km on a dirt road in the dark. You screwed up our gig you wankers.

  12. Good to see more bands coming to SA. But when is the SA music industry gonna stop forcing emo rock down our throats and start bringing us more metal. Like at the first few Coke Fests. Is the problem perhaps with the music execs who are more focussed on contemporary and frightned of the stereotypes of metal heads? Give metal more airplay on the radios and bring some metal bands from the US or Europe to SA please

  13. Big Concerts EPIC FAIL!! How can you have a venue for such a crowd with one tiny access farm road? Killers ROCKED!

  14. My overall experience of the event was positive. The venue was one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. We went early and waited 3 hours before the bands came on, but it was worth the wait. Both bands were excellent. Afterwards we took a taxi to the main road, a walk to our car and we were out of there in 15 minutes. Concert-goers were warned beforehand to come early, but in typical South African fashion people left it to the last minute to come through. Carpooling was also advised and yet there were numerous people that drove in alone in their cars. How do I know this? They all passed me while I was walking to the event! Yes, the parking and access to the event was badly organized, but surely this alone does not make this a bad venue? My hope is that in the not to distant future we will see more acts of this caliber at Val de Vie, with the logistics managed properly.

  15. my night failed!! i got home at 4 30am! The parking situation was pathetic! I cant understand how a company like Big Concerts can stuff up that bad, surely they should have enough experience to learn from their mistakes. Luckily for me i FINALLY got home after seeing the killers (barely)....3 car break downs....and 5hours of traffic!! Epic fail Big Concerts

  16. Big Concerts should not be allowed to trade! Just go onto hellopeter.com and see all the complaints about them over various concerts, not just the Killers. Why don't we all leave messages on the Killers' official website thanking them for a BRILLIANT show - because I really wouldn't want them thinking that the Big Concert monumental stuff ups have any connection to them or what we thought of their show. The two are very separate issues.

  17. I see all the angry people hate BIG concerts but truly it wasn't all that bad! The thing that mattered was the Killers were absolutely brilliant, Zerba and Giraffe are really a band on the move and too be fair i was there for the music, not the parking issues...

  18. I will never again attend any concert organized by big concerts!!! The bar facility was absolutely lacking and the traffic was a major stuff up. From now on everytime I hear a killers song I will remember the worst night off my life!!! Yes the killers rocked but dam no one can enjoy themselves when the organizing is screwed up in all aspects!!! If you pay good money you expect a well organized show!!! Come on even Julius Malema could have predicted the traffic would be a mess with one road out of the venue???

  20. The Killers were just FANTASTIC the Cape Town fans, well you guys rock …! BUT…… the organization was just an absolute shambles. Fire the lot, someones head needs to role for the mismanagement of the entire event. Big Concerts, PLEASE catch a wake up! You organize events like that, will prevent people from going to your future concerts. I most certainly will NOT put myself through that agony again! It took 3 hour to get in and 4 hours to get out? Home at 3h30…….. 7 hours to miss the opening act and to have the bar close 40min before the end? SUCH A PITTY............. ! Killers........ you ROCK! From MR Darkside (today)

  21. Big concerts cannot organise a pissup in a brewery if you paid them to do it. Why does are these monkeys still in the game? They shouldive been kicked out with their metallica balls up already YOU SUCK BIG concerts

  22. Went to show on Friday, 4th of Dec in Jhb and had no problems with parking or getting out. But most of all - what an amazing & unforgettable show!! Hope to see The Killers back in SA soon!!

  23. The Sound was fantastic, where ever you were in the arena, but the traffic control was dismal. On had invited guests from JNB to join us for the concert in the beautiful setting, only to have all pleasure destroyed by the 'traffic' issue. Hell, 2:30am arriving home after a 10:15pm finish. The BIG in the concert part is their ability to create big chaos and displeasure. I will not attend a live concert organised by these monkeys until the comments posted after the event are positive. And to those who had blisters and bloody feet, maybe the stress and pain of walking was less than the traffic. But I am sure all round the concert will be remembered for the traffic chaos and not the quality of the bank performing. Pity!

  24. myself and the 2 people that were with me have blisters on our feet from having to walk about 10km yesterday. but i would do it again in a heartbeat because Brandon Flowers and his band more than made up for it. They were amazing!! but we gotta sort out the organisers. the tickets weren't cheap so one would expect everyone to come to the party and play their part, not just the band. Big Concerts u suck big time!!

  25. I would walk for an hour and sit in traffic for two ANYTIME if it meant I could see the Killers again. What sucks ass is that because Big Concerts completely screwed up, everyone has a negative memory of the concert. The concert itself, was incredible. Brandon Flowers is true showman and not only had the crowd eating from his hand, but he was enjoying himself. His constant smiles were genuine, anyone could see that. I just hope The Killers don't leave SA feeling that the fans didn't enjoy their concerts. I know I did.

  27. THE KILLERS SAVED THE DAY. The Val de Vie venue was indeed beautiful but when will BIG CONCERTS realise HOW TO PLAN AN EVENT PROPERLY ? Any moron knows a venue out in the wine-lands may work for local artists but when you dealing with the biggest band in the world planning a concert in venue with one road access into the town is not a great idea ! Did you not learn from the Celine Dione fiasco ? Nice try but as concert organisers you FAIL!

  28. Wow! What a show. We were just outside the Golden sircle. Excellent sound. Great vibe. Awesome music! I must say, the parking did spoil the evening a little. If you're gonna organise an event on a Sunday, you better make sure the people will be able to leave before work on Monday! I got home at 1:30 and my friends at 3:00. No complaints about the SAPS though. They organised us a happy hour between 17:00 and 18:00. Free beer! Whoohoo! Thanks guys!

  29. Big Concerts: I can't speak for the Capetonians, but 3 Dec at the Dome in Jo'burg was awsome and very well organised... I had an amazing time and have absolutely no complaints...

  30. What an absolute joke. Big Concerts you bunch of loosers. Get out of the industry as u once again proved yourselfs incappable of organising. Three hours to get into the venue for starters. A bar facility that could not decide if it was open or closed. Then closed its doors at 21H30. Thanks SAPS.... And what would have been a good night out, turned into a 3am getting home, because it took 4 hours to get out the grounds. Pathetic. I hope Big Concerts has nothing to do with 2010

  31. When Will Cape Town be able to host a proper concert outside of the city. We just experienced another disaster like the Celine Dijon Concert. Is there no ombudsman to take these micky mouse organizers to task?
